As summer draws to a close, finding funding is on a lot of peoples’ minds. Here are some opportunities for the month of August that you might want to keep an eye on, ranging from non-profits to arts funding.
NYC Green Fund
NY’s CityParks Foundation’s Green Fund is a grant supporting organizations planning to activate in NYC parks and public spaces. The Green Fund can provide up to $40,000 in funding a year for up to two years for eligible organizations. Your organization must be non-profit and have under $175,000 in expenses. They’re looking to support work in Health and Wellness, Organizational or Youth Development, Arts and Culture, Stewardship and Environmental Activism. Applications close on August 14th.
Bronx Cultural Visions Fund
The Bronx Cultural Visions Fund is a performing arts grant built to support New York dance, theater, music, and more. The grant provides up to $20,000 in production funds, or $10,000 for concept development. They’re looking for mid-career artists and organizations with budgets of $250,000 or less. Applications close on August 27th.
Pratt Center Community Planning & Research Accelerator
This Grant from the Pratt Center for Community Development is offering $15,000 in project grants to 4 organizations, as well as 200 hours of planning and research support from their staff. They’re looking for projects that advance community priorities and benefit from community-based planning and research. The applications close on August 31st.
Women’s Empire Community Impact Grant
Women’s Empire has $1000 grants year round for every quarter, with the current application period ending September 1st. They’re looking for women-led, community based organizations in NYC.
Cricket Island Foundation Leadership Transition Fund
The Cricket Island Foundation does grants for youth-led organizations, providing $45,000 a year for 3 years. There will be six grant recipients for this upcoming round of funding. They’re looking for groups with leadership changing hands within the next two years and a maximum budget of $1.5 million. This grant has a screening form due September 1st, and will accept applications following the screening phase.
