Celebrate Caribbean Culture at Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturday

Experience an evening of art, music, and Caribbean culture at the Brooklyn Museum’s free First Saturday event this August. “Where Brooklyn Meets the Caribbean” brings together live performances, hands-on activities, poetry, gallery talks, and local vendors for a community celebration highlighting the rich cultures and traditions of the Caribbean diaspora.
From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., visitors can explore the museum while enjoying a variety of free programs, including live music, interactive art-making, performances, and the popular Brooklyn Pop-Up Market featuring artists, makers, and small businesses from across the borough.
Whether you’re interested in discovering new artists, connecting with your community, or simply spending a summer evening surrounded by art and culture, First Saturdays offers something for visitors of all ages. Registration is free and recommended, as it includes general admission to the museum.
