SUMMARY:The Ring of Daisies Open Mic Series
DESCRIPTION:In a circle of daisies\, share your poetry! The Poetry Society of New York’s inaugural open mic series is called The Ring of Daisies. What began as a temporary open mic stage at the NYC Poetry Festival—literal daisies thoughtfully placed in a semicircle on the sweltering July grass—can now blossom and sparkle throughout the year. Join us every quarter for a night of poetry and art by PSNY members\, festival attendees\, and new and old friends\, presented in collaboration with Accent Sisters. The Ring of Daisies offers art activations\, group writing exercises\, and a chance to re-establish connections with your favorite poetry festival community\, in contrast to other open mics in NYC. Did you not attend the NYC Poetry Festival? Not a Part of PSNY? Not an issue! Everyone is welcome to participate in this event series\, however members will have priority sign-ups\, so we strongly advise you to join now and become a member today. Think of this area as your personal field of daisies—wild\, beautiful\, warm\, and exposed to the sun’s never-ending rays. A signup sheet will be sent to members who register ahead of the event. Everyone else is welcome to sign up first-come\, first-serve\, onsite!
